Founder & Lead Instructor
Aeden O'Neill is the founder of Gethin MTB and a MIAS Level 6 qualified mountain bike instructor. Based at Pontiscill Village Hall in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, Aeden has been sharing his passion for mountain biking across South Wales for over a decade.
With extensive experience leading groups of all abilities - from complete beginners to advanced riders - Aeden specialises in MIAS instructor training, helping aspiring instructors gain the skills and qualifications they need to lead others safely on the trails.
When not teaching, you'll find Aeden exploring the countless trails around Merthyr Tydfil, from the forest tracks above Pontiscill Reservoir to the world-class descents at Bike Park Wales.

Our Story
Gethin MTB was born from a simple belief: that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the freedom and adventure of mountain biking in South Wales.
Based at Pontiscill Village Hall, just minutes from Bike Park Wales and surrounded by the stunning Brecon Beacons, we're perfectly positioned to offer mountain bike training, hire, and trail advice across some of the best trail networks in the UK.
Our mission is to grow the mountain biking community by training the next generation of qualified instructors, providing quality bike hire to visitors, and helping riders of all abilities discover the incredible trails on our doorstep.

Our Location
Pontiscill Village Hall sits at the northern edge of Merthyr Tydfil, overlooking Pontiscill Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons National Park. From here, we have direct access to forest trails, reservoir loops, and mountain descents - as well as being just a 10-minute drive from Bike Park Wales.
